The Airtel data plans I will be discussing in this post include the Pay As You Go Plans, daily plans, weekly plans, monthly plans, weekend and night plans, social plans, unlimited plans, the Android bundles and the Airtel triple surf offers to compensate loyal subscribers.
Apart from the Social plan, all the other plans work on any device.
Regardless of how your device consumes data, you will definitely find the data plan that will cater for your internet needs in the different lists compiled below.
Best Airtel Data Plans in Nigeria 2017
1. FREE SURF
The Free Surf Plan gives you reduced browsing rate on a Pay as you Go level. This plan can also offer you up to 160 MB for FREE when you use up to 160MB. The charges rate on this plan starts from 1Kobo/Kilobyte.
To subscribe to the FREE SURF plan, dial *400#
2. DAILY PLANS
The daily plans include the 30MB for NGN 100, 100MB for NGN 200 and the NGN 100 5 Star Pack.
- 30 MB for NGN 100 Plan
This 30 MB daily plan has a validity period of 24 hours. The subscription code is *410#.
There is a way Airtel compensates first-time subscribers. You will find out in the Airtel triple surf offer section of this post.
- 100MB for NGN 200 Plan
This plan has a validity period of 3 days. It is ideal for people that are not heavy users or probably you just want much data for less.
To subscribe to this plan, dial *412#.
- 5-STAR Pack for NGN 100
The 5-Star Pack offers very little data with a longer validity period. This plan gives you 5MB every day for 5 days. It is definitely NOT suitable for smartphone users; those devices consume a lot of data. Java or Symbian phones users can still find this useful.

3. WEEKLY PLANS
The Weekly plans offer less than 30 days validity. The list of Airtel data plans that fall in this category are as follows;
- Weekly - 80MB for NGN 300
To subscribe to this plan, dial *417#.
- Easy Plan - 750 MB for NGN 500
To subscribe to the Easy plan dial *418#.
- The 2G Pack
- Unlimited 200 costs NGN 200 over a 10-day validity period. The amount of data is "Unlimited" but be rest assured that the rule of fair usage definitely applies. To subscribe to this plan, dial *482*1#.
- Unlimited 500 costs NGN 500, the data capacity is "Unlimited" with a validity period of 25 days. To subscribe to this plan, dial *482*2#.
4. AIRTEL ANDROID BUNDLE
The Airtel Android bundles offer 1.5GB for N1000, 3.5GB for N2000, 5GB for N2500, 7GB for N3500 and 9GB for N4000. 5. AIRTEL OPERA MINI DATA PLAN FOR N300
This plan helps you to stay connected on your favorite apps such as Facebook, twitter, wechat, Opera, whatsapp, 2go and so on. The plan offers 250 MB data for just N300 with a validity period of 25 days.
This plan will be useful for people that enjoy chatting and socializing all day long and most especially, people that choose Opera mini as their main browser.
However, not all the internet dependent apps on your phone will work with this plan.

6. AIRTEL UNLIMTED PACKS
I know what you are thinking, but unfortunately, the plan is only unlimited by name.
The weekly version of this plan is not worthy to be included on this list because it is just too expensive compared to the weekly plan we have discussed earlier but the daily plan is OK, see the details below;
The daily plan gives you 40 MB for a period of 24 hours and it is usable on all devices including Blackberry. To subscribe, dial *440*18#.
7. THE MONTHLY PLANS
The Monthly data plans on the Airtel network are as follow;
- 10GB for N5000
To subscribe to this data plan, dial *452#.
- 16GB for N8000
- 22GB for N10,000
- 30 GB for N15,000
- 50 GB for N36,000
- 100GB for N70,000
- 200GB for 136,000
