How to Check GTBank account balance via Phone

Apart from using your phone to get your GTbank NUBAN Account Number as explained in my previous post, you can also use that same phone number to know your GTbank account balance.


This post will guide you on how to check your GTBank account balance through your mobile phone.

Checking GTBank account Balance on Phone

Method 1:
Send BALANCE (Your 10 digit Account no.) to 08100550000 and you will get a text containing your available account balance within in a short while.

For example: I will send "BALANCE 00503087XX" (without the quotes) as a message to 08100550000 and wait for the reply message containing my available account balance. Mind you this is just an example you should try it with your own 10 digit NUBAN account number.

Method 2:
You can also check your GTBank account balance on your phone by dialling the short code *737*6#

NB: Send the SMS only with the line you registered with the bank else you will be getting an error reply

Guess you now have one less reason to queue in the banking halls :)
